Scientology Beliefs and Practices
Scientology’s religious beliefs and practices are based on the concept of “tone.” Each individual’s feelings are measured on a scale of +40 to -40. A tone of 40 corresponds to serenity and “beingness,” while a tone of -40 indicates total failure. According to Scientology, negative tones impair our interactions with the world. As a result, these feelings are considered dangerous and harmful.

Scholars have published studies, opinions, and papers on world religions. Based on their unique cultural background and method of analysis, they have concluded that Scientology is a religion. In addition, more than 100 eminent scholars and experts have independently researched Scientology and its beliefs & practices. In this way, religious tolerance has become a significant focus of the movement. However, while this debate is ongoing, some scholars believe that the church’s beliefs are compatible with religious tolerance.
Spiritual freedom
What is spiritual freedom? The beliefs of Scientology emphasize the importance of helping people. People can change, and they can become better than they were before. Therefore, people should do something to improve the world and help those around them. Scientologists believe their spirits can live on in multiple bodies and lifetimes. They make decisions based on this concept. These beliefs are at the core of Scientology’s philosophy.

Scientology aims to reverse this diminishing awareness. Increased awareness increases our ability to understand life and improve our overall condition. Therefore, the beliefs of Scientology are based on the idea that human beings are not separate from nature. The views of Scientology also emphasize that people can develop their spiritual freedom and be happy in the process.
Welfare
The beliefs and practices of Scientology are based on the idea that man is a spirit that can attain higher states of awareness. The views of Scientology are based on the traditions of fifty thousand years of thinking men. The fundamental principles of life are derived from these beliefs and used to develop methods for improving conditions in the world. The organization is a non-political religion and does not take a position on political issues.
While many religions teach a similar belief, Scientology advocates a different approach. It believes the reactive mind is malignant and causes irrational behavior, undermining the ability to build lasting societies. Moreover, Scientologists argue that solutions to many of society’s problems are easy to implement and within reach of every man. Therefore, to achieve freedom from such worries, Scientologists believe that people must confront their unconscious causes and overcome them.
Faith in God
The question of whether Scientology believes in God is a common one. The religion’s philosophy largely rejects the concept of God and instead holds that there are multiple deities, some of which are better than others. In contrast, biblical Christianity acknowledges only one God. This makes Scientology’s belief in God problematic for Christians, as they can’t be sure that their “savior” is God.
Though the church rejects the concept of an overbearing, powerful deity, they have always remained open to questions. In particular, the church’s beliefs about the role of God are controversial and often difficult to explain to outsiders. This may be partly due to the church’s unwillingness to discuss its beliefs openly. Scientologists are usually quite open about this. Nevertheless, a few of their beliefs are utterly incompatible with Christianity.
